After averaging 12.0 points per game to lead the Lycoming women's basketball team to a 1-1 week, first-year Kami Abdo has earned her first career Warrior of the Week award. Abdo started the week with nine points and two steals against 11th-ranked DeSales, and then posted 15 points by hitting a career-best five 3-pointers in six shots to lead the Warriors to a 78-32 win over FDU-Florham, as she played just 16 minutes. For the week, Abdo shot 47 percent (7-of-15) from the field, 67 percent (6-of-9) from 3 and was perfect (4-of-4) at the free throw line.Â
Abdo is fourth on the Warriors, averaging 7.2 points and 1.2 assists per game, fifth with 1.4 assists and she leads the team with a .338 3-point field goal percentage, which is also third in the MAC Freedom.
