After beating three regionally-ranked opponents to earn a slot of the Whitehill Duals All-Tournament Team, junior 133-pounder Bobby Gardner has earned his first career Warrior of the Week award. The South Williamsport, Pa., native kicked off his career in a Warrior singlet by posting a 17-2 technical fall over regionally-ranked Caiden Heller of Messiah before posting a 9-5 decision over Williams' regionally-ranked Jake Strianese. He capped his first day with a 15-3 major decision win over Rocco Futia of Cortland, then on Saturday, he posted a pair of first-period pins, including one against regionally-ranked Vincent Paolucci of York.
Gardner, a Clarion University transfer, is 5-0 in his career as a Warrior.
