With a pair of double-digit scoring efforts, junior Mya Wetzel has earned her first Warrior of the Week award. Wetzel posted 12 points, hitting three 3-pointers, to go with three rebounds, four assists and three steals in a 64-52 win over Wilkes. She added 10 points, including three more trifectas, to go with two assists and two steals against Drew. Wetzel shot 50 percent (7-of-14) from the field and 46 percent (6-of-13) from three, as she broke a five-game string where she didn't score more than six points. She moved past Akilah McFadden for sixth in program history with 113 made 3-pointers during the week.
Wetzel is fifth in the conference, hitting 1.8 3-pointers per game and she is 13th in assists (2.4) and 14th in steals (1.6).
