Halbert, Llorente earn ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Honors

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Junior right-hander Alex Halbert (Laurel, Md. / Atholton) and senior first baseman/pitcher AJ Llorente (Williamsport, Pa. / Montoursville Area) were named First Team All-Region V, as announced by the American Baseball Coaches Association.

This is the second season in a row that Lycoming has earned a first team All-Region nod, after outfielder Danny DeLucas (First Team) was selected in 2025, while this season is the first time that the Warriors have had multiple players tabbed by ABCA/Rawlings for the All-Region squad.

Halbert and Llorente also earned their second All-Region honor this season, after both were selected to the D3baseball.com All-Region V Second Team on Tuesday, May 26.

Halbert adds the All-Region selection at starting pitcher to a crowded trophy case that includes Landmark Conference Pitcher of the Year, First Team All-Conference honors, and Landmark Pitcher of the Week honors on February 16 and March 2. The right-hander went 5-0 with a conference-leading 2.18 ERA over 41 1/3 innings. He began his campaign with 14.0 straight scoreless innings and finished it with three consecutive victories, including a victory over conference champion Scranton in his final outing of the season.

Llorente was tabbed at the utility spot on the back of an excellent season both on the mound and at the plate. The senior earned First Team All-Landmark accolades at first base and second team honors on the mound after slashing .375/.451/.442 in 33 games, while adding 45 hits, 24 runs, six doubles and 26 RBI. On the slab, he went 5-1 with a 3.83 ERA, striking out 39 batters against just 12 walks over 47 innings, including a seven-inning, two-hit shutout over Catholic. He earned Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week honors on February 16 and a Pitcher of the Week nod on March 23. He earned all-conference honors in both of his seasons at Lycoming.

The Warriors finished the 2026 season 18-21 and 11-13 in the Landmark under fourth-year coach Rick Oliveri, while placing a school record seven players on the All-Landmark Conference team.
