WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Lycoming College baseball's
Brody Lindsey (Monrovia, Md./DeMatha Catholic) was announced as the Robert J. Sinnott '81 Award winner at the College's Senior Athlete Celebration & Athletics Recognition Banquet on Wednesday, May 6.
First presented in 2022, the Robert J. Sinnott Award is presented to a student-athlete who has made a significant contribution to the success of their team, excelled in their academic studies, and exemplified the qualities of character, courage, leadership, and determination. All traits that exemplified the award's namesake Bob Sinnott, a member of Lycoming Athletics Hall of Fame.
"When I describe him to people, the first thing I say is that he could be the nicest human being I've ever known," Lycoming head baseball coach
Rick Oliveri said. "It almost seems like he never has a bad day, is always smiling and talkative, always interested in what's going on with others. Brody is the first to volunteer for any event, service, or help when those opportunities become available."
A two-time Second Team All-Landmark Conference selection, Lindsey slashed .356/.424/.604 with 53 hits, 31 runs scored, a program-record 17 doubles, six home runs, and 38 RBI during his senior year. He led the conference in doubles, while finishing third in slugging, sixth in OPS (1.028), and ninth in RBI.
He graduates as the program's career leader in home runs (17), RBI (80), and slugging percentage (.595) while holding single-season records for homers (11, 2025), RBI (42, 2025) and doubles (17, 2026). He fittingly launched a grand slam in his final home game at Brandon Park for the Warriors. Another home run in his final career game helped him earn Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week honors on May 4.
