WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Led by Landmark Conference Pitcher of the Year, junior Alex Halbert (Laurel, Md. / Atholton), seven Lycoming College baseball players earned a school-record eight selections on the All-Landmark Conference team, the league office announced Tuesday, May 12.
Halbert is the first Warrior baseball player to be named a major award winner from the conference, as he also earned first team all-conference honors alongside senior AJ Llorente (Williamsport, Pa. / Montoursville Area) at first base. In addition, senior third baseman Brody Lindsey (Monrovia, Md. / DeMatha Catholic) and senior outfielder Nick Reeder (Montoursville, Pa. / Montoursville Area) each earned second team nods, as did Llorente as a starting pitcher. Sophomore reliever Lex Nelsen (Freehold, N.J. / Freehold Township), sophomore second baseman Kaden Shay (South Williamsport, Pa. / South Williamsport), and senior shortstop Sean Perkins (Berlin, N.J. / Eastern Regional) all earned honorable mention honors.
Halbert earned All-Conference honors for the first time after leading the Landmark Conference with a 2.18 ERA, allowing just 10 earned runs over 41.1 innings, with 16 strikeouts and 10 walks. He posted a perfect 5-0 record, finishing tied for fourth in the conference in wins. He started the campaign with 14 consecutive shutout innings over three starts, earning Landmark Conference Pitcher of the Week honors on February 16 and March 2. On the other end, he capped off his year with three consecutive victories including 6.0 scoreless innings against Juniata on March 28 and 5.0 innings without an earned run in a win over conference champion Scranton on April 12.
For the second consecutive year, Llorente earned accolades on the mound and in the field, earning a first team honor at first base and second team nod at starting pitcher after being named second team as a pitcher and utility player in 2025. Despite missing two weeks due to injury, Llorente slashed .375/.451/.442 in 33 games, finishing seventh in the league in batting average. He added 45 hits, 24 runs, six doubles, and 26 RBI. On the mound, he went 5-1 with a 3.83 ERA, striking out 39 batters and walking just 12 over 47.0 innings, including a seven-inning two-hit shutout of Catholic on March 22. He earned Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week honors on February 16 and Pitcher of the Week on March 23.
Lindsey earned a second team selection at third base for the second year in a row, as the senior slashed .356/.424/.604 with 53 hits, 31 runs scored, a program-record 17 doubles, six home runs, and 38 RBI. He led the conference in doubles, while finishing third in slugging, sixth in OPS (1.028), and ninth in RBI. He graduates as the program's all-time leader in home runs (17), RBI (80), and slugging percentage (.595) and fittingly launched a grand slam in his final home game at Brandon Park for the Warriors. Another home run in his final career game helped him earn Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week honors on May 4.
Reeder earned second team honors for the second time after previously being lauded in 2024. The senior center fielder slashed .336/.480/.471 with 47 hits, 39 runs, seven doubles, three triples, two home runs, and 21 RBI, while also swiping 18 bases. Reeder tied for seventh in the league in runs scored, finishing eighth in stolen bases, and was also fifth in times hit by pitches (16). He earned a Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week accolade on April 6 and graduates as the school's all-time leader in hits (175), runs (134), triples (10), walks (74), times hit by pitch (41), and stolen bases (57).
Nelsen earns his first all-conference nod, as he logged a 2.30 ERA in 17 relief appearances, throwing 27.1 innings and allowing just 19 hits. He struck out 22 and walked only five, as opponents hit a miniscule .190 off him. His season included five consecutive scoreless outings from March 19-31 and he went the entire season without allowing more than one earned run in any appearance.
Shay stepped into a starting role as a sophomore, earning his first honorable mention selection at second base after slashing .306/.422/.372. Shay stroked 37 hits, scored 32 runs, and added eight doubles and 14 RBI, while also stealing 15 bases and fielding at a .974 clip at second base as a major piece of the conference's top defense.
Perkins earned his first all-conference selection as an honorable mention pick at shortstop. The senior slashed .311/.485/.516, with 38 hits, 38 runs, five doubles, and tying for the team lead with six home runs, driving in 30 runs. He also drew 32 walks, tied for third in the conference, and logged a 1.001 OPS that was ninth in the league. His season was highlighted by a seven-RBI day in a doubleheader against SUNY Poly on March 7, including a grand slam in the second game.
The Warriors finished the 2026 season 18-21 and 11-13 in the Landmark under fourth-year coach Rick Oliveri.
