WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – For the first time since 2018, the Lycoming College volleyball team has earned the American Volleyball Coaches' Association Team Academic Award, the association announced on Monday, July 21.

 The award, which was initiated in 1992-93, honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale or a 4.10 cumulative team GPA on a 5.0 scale.

The Warriors were paced in the classroom by 10 players who earned Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll honors in 2024. Seniors
Brynne Bisel (Julian, Pa./Bald Eagle Area),
Ava Coombs, (Suffern, N.Y./Suffern),
Ali Koval (Mansfield, Pa./North Penn-Mansfield),
Kendall Myers (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) and
Camryn Quelet (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown), juniors
Cameron Upcraft (Spring Mills, Pa./Penns Valley) and
Kai Vista (Hightstown, N.J./Hightstown)Â and sophomores
Haley Balgavy (Warrenton, Va./Kettle Run),
Ima Mercado (Mifflintown, Pa./Juniata) and
Jillian Stebbins (Portville, N.Y./Portville) were honored by the Landmark.

In total, 1,450 teams from all collegiate divisions and high school competition earned the distinction, including six fellow Landmark institutions in Elizabethtown, Goucher, Juniata, Moravian, Scranton and Susquehanna.

The Warriors finished the season 9-17 overall and 2-7 in the Landmark Conference under 24th-year head coachÂ
