LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — Senior Megan Klansek (Hanover, Pa./Southwestern) led the Lycoming College women's swim team with a second-place finish in the 50-yard backstroke to highlight a meet with NCAA Division II Lock Haven on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 25.
Lock Haven (2-1) won the meet 117-60, but Lycoming (0-3) put up its highest point total of the young season.
First-year Elizabeth Eberz (Stroudsburg, Pa. / Stroudsburg) took third the 50-yard butterfly in 35.76, with fellow Warrior, senior Anasten Holbrook (Parker, Colo. / Colorado Early Colleges-Douglas County) coming in fourth in 36:40. Holbrook also took third in the 50-yard backstroke in 37.04.
The Warriors also got first-place points in the 200-yard freestyle relay, with Pool, Eberz, and seniors Megan Lonergan (York, Pa. / York Suburban) and Klansek turning in a time 2:01.79 and first-year Riley Pool (Canal Winchester, Ohio / Pickerington) took third place in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 6:30.63. Lonergan took third in the 1650-yard freestyle and Eberz was third in the 100-yard freestyle.
The Warriors will be in action on Saturday, Nov. 1 at Hood College in a tri-meet that will also feature Misericordia University. The meet will get underway at 1 p.m. in Frederick, Md.
