SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Sophomore Sean Martinez (Willow Grove, Pa./Upper Moreland) won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:53.69 to highlight a season-opening Landmark Conference double dual for Lycoming College as it faced Susquehanna University and Elizabethtown College on Friday evening, Oct. 17, at the O.W. Houts Gymnasium Aquatic Center.
 
Martinez also helped the 200-yard freestyle relay finish second in 1:37.29, along with junior Drew Degnan (Elmira, N.Y./Elmira) and first-years Jason Ricci (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill) and Dominic De Mar (Phoenix, Ariz./Horizon), already the fastest time for a Lycoming team since a 1:37.17 in a dual meet with Saint Vincent on Jan. 28, 2023. The 200-yard medley relay team of Ricci, De Mar, Degnan and Martinez posted a time of 1:49.88, the team's best since a 1:42.92 at the MAC Championships in 2023.
 
Susquehanna won the double-dual meet on the men's side, beating Lycoming, 154-29, and Elizabethtown, 142-61. Elizabethtown beat Lycoming, 133-45.
 
On the women's side, senior Megan Lonergan (York, Pa./York Suburban) took fourth in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:18.63 and the 500-yard freestyle in 6:13.06 and the 200-yard freestyle relay team of sophomore Madison Robbins (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro Area), first-year Elizabeth Eberz (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg), senior Megan Klansek (Hanover, Pa./Southwestern) and senior Anasten Holbrook (Parker, Colo./Colorado Early Colleges) took third in 2:00.67.
 
Susquehanna won the double-dual meet on the women's side, beating Lycoming, 141-47, and Elizabethtown, 144-46. Elizabethtown beat Lycoming, 144-46.
 
The Lycoming women are back in the pool on Saturday, Oct. 25, when they head to Lock Haven University for a 1 p.m. dual meet. The men are back in the pool on Saturday, Nov. 1, when both teams' face Hood and Misericordia in another double dual meet at 1 p.m.
