WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Junior Katryn Yocum (Carlisle, Pa. / Boiling Springs) earned All-Academic Athlete honors for the second time, becoming the first Lycoming College women's cross country runner to receive the honor twice, and for the seventh time in program history, the Lycoming men's and women's cross country teams each received All-Academic Team honors from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, the organization announced on Thursday, Jan. 30.

To qualify for the All-American recognition, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 out of a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers. For individuals to earn All-Academic distinction, student-athletes must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 (out of a 4.0 scale) and finish within the top 25 percent in their respective regional championship meet.

Both the men's and women's cross country teams repeated the honor, after earning it in 2023.

Six athletes on the women's cross country team received Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll accolades this year. Yocum became the first runner in program history to earn four all-conference honors in a career after she finished 12^th in the Landmark Conference Championships, earning Second Team All-Conference honors. At the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional, Yocum broke her own program record by finishing the 6K race with a time of 22:34.4, placing 39^th in the field of 218 runners. All of Lycoming's runners set personal-best times at the regional and the team placed 22^nd out of 30 teams.

The Warrior men, who had four Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll selections, finished in 27^th place at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals for sixth-year head coach Katie Sick.
