Warriors set for double-elimination Landmark Conference Championship

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - With the 3-0 win over fourth-seeded Susquehanna University on Tuesday, May 7, the fifth-seeded Lycoming College softball team advanced to the four-team, double-elimination Landmark Conference Championship at Blue-Grey Field on the campus of Moravian University beginning on Friday, May, 10, when the Warriors face top-seeded Moravian at 1 p.m.

TICKET INFORMATION

All sales are digital only through Hometown Ticketing and are only valid for the date of purchase. Fans attending more than one day will need to purchase a single ticket for each. Fans are encouraged to buy tickets before arriving at the field. Individuals will have the opportunity to pay on-site with their credit card via the Hometown Ticketing app.

The Warriors (16-14 overall, 8-8 Landmark) enter the tournament having split doubleheaders with seven of eight conference opponents, including the top-seeded Greyhounds (27-8 overall, 13-3 Landmark). The Warriors won the first game of the doubleheader with Moravian on March 29, as junior Avery Eiswerth (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport Area) hit two homers, including a grand slam, and threw a six-hitter in a 6-2 win before Moravian won the second game, 9-0.
 
The pair of Eiswerth and Kylie Russell (Cogan Station, Pa./Jersey Shore Area) have helped the Warriors lead the Landmark Conference in strikeouts and sit fourth in the league with a 2.79 ERA. 
 
Three Warriors are batting better than .300, led by sophomore catcher Rachel Daub (Honesdale, Pa./Honesdale Area), who is hitting .330 with 11 RBI, entering the weekend one hits shy of reaching 100 in her career. Eiswerth, who doubles as the team's right fielder when she's not pitching, is hitting .300 with a team-best three home runs and 16 RBI. Sophomore shortstop Claire Alexander (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport Area) hit .303 with four doubles, four triples, 10 stolen bases and 16 runs.
