Three Warriors on CSC Academic All-District Team

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Three members of the Lycoming College women's basketball team – senior Emily Lockard (Benton, Pa./ Benton Area), junior Ashley Yoh (Myerstown, Pa./ Eastern Lebanon County) and junior Alicia Goldenziel (Moscow, Pa./ North Pocono) – earned a slot on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, the organization announced on Tuesday, March 26.

Lockard and Yoh both repeated as members of the team.

Lockard led the Warriors and finished 10th in the Landmark with an average of 11.3 points per game and third with 8.7 rebounds, as she piled on eight double-doubles this season, helping her earn Honorable Mention All-Landmark Conference honors. Lockard was also ninth in the league with 0.8 blocks per game. The senior finished her career with 664 points (8.5 per game) and 512 rebounds (6.6 per game) to go with 48 blocks in 78 career games, as she improved her scoring, rebounding, assists and steal averages in each year of her career.

Yoh started all 25 games as a guard, finishing third on the team with 9.7 points per game and second with 5.3 rebounds per game. Lockard was awarded Landmark Athlete of the Week after earning her first double-double scoring 18 points and grabbing 11 rebounds against Penn College, her first of four double-doubles during the season.

Goldenziel started all 25 games as a forward. She ranked sixth in the Landmark Conference with an average of 1.0 block per game, adding 5.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.

Eligible student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically, carry at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average and have competed in 90 percent of the institution's games/contests/sets played or have started in at least 66 percent of the games/contests/sets.

The 2023 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

The Warriors went 12-13 overall and finished seventh in their first Landmark Conference appearance with a 6-12 record under 32nd-year head coach Christen Ditzler.
