BALTIMORE, Md. – The Lycoming College women's swimming team opened its first run at the Landmark Conference Championships by finishing sixth in the 800-yard freestyle relay on Thursday night, Feb. 15, at the Mangione Aquatic Center.

The Warrior women finished the first day at the championships in seventh with 44 points. Catholic leads through three events with 74 points, with Drew close behind with 72 points. Drew leads the men's championships with 109 points and Catholic has 104.

Courtney Chapman (Warminster, Pa./William Tennent), sophomore
Megan Lonergan (York, Pa./York Suburban) and senior
Cathryn Brought (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro Area) turned in a 8:39.74 to finish sixth in the eight-team field, with Brought anchoring the race with a 1:59.91 split.

The Warriors also took ninth in the 200-yard medley relay, with the team of first-years
Anasten Holbrook (Parker, Colo./Colorado Early Colleges-Douglas County),
Londyn Snyder (Halifax, Pa./Halifax Area), Chapman and Fox posting a time of 2:10.05.

The Warriors are back in the pool for the second day of the Landmark Conference Championships with prelims for the 500-yard freestyle, 200-yard individual medley and 50-yard freestyle at 10 a.m., before finals in those events as well as the men's 1-meter and women's 3-meter diving and the 400-yard medley relay.
