ALTOONA, Pa. - Sophomore Gwyn Fox (Altoona, Pa. / Altoona Area) posted first-place finishes in the 100- and 150-yard freestyle events and first-year Madison Robbins (Wellsboro, Pa. / Wellsboro Area) added another in the 50-yard breaststroke to lead the Lycoming College women's swimming team against Penn State-Altoona on Friday evening, Dec. 13.
Fox posted a 59.62 time in the 100-yard freestyle and a 1:35.72 time in the 150-yard freestyle, which earned her first-place finishes. She also secured a second-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 27.68.
Robbins placed first with a 36.64 in the 50-yard breaststroke, and she also took second in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:21.52. Sophomore Megan Klansek (Hanover, Pa. / Southwestern) also added a second-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke with a 1:15.81 time.
On the men's side, first-year Sean Martinez (Willow Grove, Pa. / Upper Moreland) notched second-place finishes in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 52.41 and the 150-yard freestyle with a time of 1:24.38.
Sophomore Drew Degnan (Elmira, N.Y. / Elmira) finished second in the 100-yard butterfly with a 59.16 finish, and senior Brian Hulsey (Annapolis, Md. / Annapolis Area Christian) (1:17.97) placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke.
The Warrior women fell to Altoona, 176-71, and the men fell 198-30.
The Warriors are back in Lamade Gym Natatorium on Saturday, Jan. 18, when they host Wilkes and Juniata in a 1 p.m. meet.
