BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Lycoming College swim teams notched several great swims, as it competed in a double dual meet with Division II Bloomsburg University and PennWest University Clarion on Friday evening, Oct. 26.
Junior Megan Lonergan (York, Pa. / York Suburban), sophomores Anasten Holbrook (Parker, Colo. / Colorado Early Colleges-Douglas County), Londyn Snyder (Halifax, Pa. / Halifax Area), Gwyn Fox (Altoona, Pa. / Altoona Area), Megan Klansek (Hanover, Pa. / Southwestern) and first-years Kiara Vasquez (Hazleton, Pa. / Hazleton Area Academy of Sciences) and Madison Robbins (Wellsboro, Pa. / Wellsboro Area) competed for the Warrior women.
Among the women freestyle swimmers, Fox notched a 1:00.89 finish in the 100-yard freestyle and a 2:14.16 finish in the 200-yard freestyle. Klansek finished the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 28.94 and the 100-yard freestyle with a 1:05.45 finish.
Snyder finished the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:13.26 and the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:21.10. Robbins followed suit with a 1:20.92 finish in the 100-yard breaststroke.
For the men, senior Brian Hulsey (Annapolis, Md. / Annapolis Area Christian), sophomores Will Eberz (Stroudsburg, Pa. / Stroudsburg) and Drew Degnan (Elmira, N.Y. / Elmira) and first-year Sean Martinez (Willow Grove, Pa. / Upper Moreland) swam in the competition.
Degnan finished the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.42 and the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 57.83. Martinez also earned a 1:54.21 time in the 200-yard freestyle for the Warriors.
The Warriors are back in the Lamade Gym Natatorium on Saturday, Nov. 9, when they host Elizabethtown in a 1 p.m., Landmark Conference meet.
