LATROBE, Pa. – Sophomore Noah Vivian (Barto, Pa./Boyertown) and junior Cathryn Brought (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro Area) led the Lycoming College swimming teams with two second-place finishes each at Saint Vincent College on Saturday, Jan. 28, at Resnik Pool.
 
The Warrior women (5-4 overall) fell to the Bearcats (8-1 overall), 208-37 and the Warrior men (4-5 overall) fell to their 5-3 counterparts, 195-48.
 
Brought scored 11 team points, swimming a personal-best in the 100-yard breaststroke with a 1:13.49 for a second-place finish and she took another runner-up finish in the 100-yard freestyle, swimming a 57.87.
 
The women took three more second-place finishes as junior Courtney Chapman (Warminster, Pa./William Tennent) swam a 2:42.33 in the 200-yard butterfly, first-year Megan Lonergan (York, Pa./York Suburban) clocked a 6:06.49 in the 500-yard freestyle and junior Elisa DiNicola (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock Township) notched a 1:04.43 in the 100-yard butterfly.
 
Vivian collected eight team points, as he swam a season-best 22:43 in the 50-yard freestyle, taking second in the event. Vivian's 57.44 in the 100-yard butterfly gave him another second-place finish. Senior Will Marcinkowski (Philadelphia, Pa./LaSalle College) clocked a 2:26.06 in the 200-yard breaststroke.
 
The Warriors will now head into their taper before returning to the pool on Thursday, Feb. 9, for the first day of the MAC Championships in York, Pa. with preliminary sessions beginning at 10 a.m. before the finals at 6 p.m.
