YORK, Pa. – With her second title win of the weekend on Sunday night, Feb. 13, junior
Katherine Brown (Glenside, Pa./Abington) became the second Lycoming College women's swimmer to earn the David B. Eavenson Middle Atlantic Conference Women's Swimmer of the Year award, as she led the way for Lycoming, which wrapped up the MAC Championships at the Graham Aquatic Record after breaking six school records during the four-day meet.

Brown took her second title in the 200-yard breaststroke, beating her own school record of 2:23.63 she set just 15 days ago, by six-tenths of a second. She posted a meet-best 90 individual event points during the meet thanks to MAC titles in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke and a fourth-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle. She set school records in all three events and set a MAC record and achieved a NCAA 'B' cut in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:03.38) on Saturday.

Brown joins Lindsay Hunsicker (2010) as Lycoming's only MAC Swimmers of the Year.

Sophomore
Courtney Chapman (Warminster, Pa./William Tennent) swam a 20:29.19 in the 1650-yard freestyle to place 20
th and sophomore
Elisa DiNicola (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock Township) placed 19
th in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 56.28.

The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Brown, Chapman, DiNicola, and senior
Devon Kaiser (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) clocked a 3:48.79 for eighth place to finish the meet.

Lycoming's women placed 11
th out of 14 schools with 294 team points. Messiah won the team title with 1,343 points.

For the men, senior
Jake Booth (Wallingford, Pa./Strath Haven) placed eighth in the 200-yard backstroke at 2:00.65 to highlight the night. Sophomore
C.J. Zortman placed 18
th in the event with a 2:03.92.

Junior
Will Marcinkowski placed 11
th in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:16.40, the fourth-fastest time in program history.

In the 1,650-yard freestyle, junior
Reilly Gluz (Syracuse, N.Y./Williston Northampton) placed 19
th in 18:50.81 and junior
Caleb Reigle (Mount Wolf, Pa./Northeastern) clocked a 19:38.89 to place 22
nd. In the 100-yard freestyle first-year
Noah Vivian (Barto, Pa./Boyertown) swam a 50.22 to place 16
th.

Two relay teams raced the 400-yard freestyle relay with Vivian, Booth, sophomores
Carter Branigan (Lansdown, Pa./Commonwealth Charter), and
Eliot Keith (New Ringgold, Pa./Blue Mountain) placing 10
th at 3:20.75 and Zortman, Reigle, junior
Matthew Michenfelder (East Windsor, N.J./Hightstown) and Gluz placing 24
th at 3:31.43.

The men finish the weekend in ninth with 497 team points, while Stevens took the team title with 1,480 points.

The Warriors will now wait to see if Brown will earn a bid to the NCAA Division III Championships. Selections will be announced on Wednesday, Feb. 23, at 10 a.m., ahead of the championships at the IU Natatorium, which run from March 16-19.
