ALTOONA, Pa. – Senior Katherine Brown (Glenside, Pa./Abington) won three individual events and helped the 200-yard medley relay team to a win as well to lead the Lycoming College swimming teams in a dual meet at Penn State-Altoona on Friday night, Dec. 9. Penn State-Altoona edged the Lycoming women, 119-97, and won the men's meet, 154-71.
 
Brown was a part of four of the Warrior women's six event wins, as Penn State-Altoona won six events and added 55 points in second to fifth-place points and the Warriors (2-3 overall) had 41.
 
Brown posted a 31.33 to win the 50-yard breaststroke, a 25.75 to win the 50-yard freestyle and a 1:07.62 to win the 100-yard breaststroke and she teamed with first-year Augustus Wood (Herndon, Va./Herndon), junior Elisa DiNicola (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock Township) and junior Cathryn Brought (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro) to win the 200-yard medley relay in 1:56.34.
 
DiNicola also won the 100-yard butterfly in 1:03.89 and Brought won the 100-yard freestyle in 57.35 and finished second in the 50-yard breaststroke in 33.13.
 
On the men's side, senior Will Marcinkowski (Philadelphia, Pa./LaSalle College) and junior Eliot Keith (New Ringgold, Pa./Blue Mountain) swept the breaststroke events to highlight the meet for the Warriors (2-3 overall).
 
Marcinkowski posted a 28.31 to win the 50-yard breaststroke and Keith notched a 1:03.22 to win the 100-yard event. Keith also finished second in the 50-yard freestyle in 22.92.
 
The Warriors get back in the pool on Saturday, Jan. 14, when they head to King's (Pa.) for a 1 p.m. Middle Atlantic Conference meet.
