WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Lycoming College women's swimming team finished second in the 200-yard medley relay to highlight the team's first day at the Diamond City Invitational on Friday night, Nov. 18, at the Catholic Youth Center.
 
Both the men's and women's team's finished the first session in sixth place in nine-team fields, with the men a point behind King's and trailing invitational-leader Bridgewater (Va.) (145). The women have 82 points and trail fifth-place Oneonta by 12 while Bridgewater leads with 140.
 
First-year Augustus Wood (Herndon, Va./Herndon), senior Katherine Brown (Glenside, Pa./Abington), junior Elisa DiNicola (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock Township) and junior Cathryn Brought (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro) teamed up to post a time of 1:55.57, finishing only behind Bridgewater.
 
Wood also came back to finish fourth 1,650-yard freestyle, posting a time of 19:47.49.
 
On the men's side, the 200-yard medley relay team of senior Matt Michenfelder (East Windsor, N.J./Hightstown), senior William Marcinkowski (Philadelphia, Pa./LaSalle College), sophomore Noah Vivian (Barto, Pa./Boyertown Area) and junior Eliot Keith (New Ringgold, Pa./Blue Mountain) finished fourth with a time of 1:42.62.
 
Senior Caleb Reigle (Mount Wolf, Pa./Northeastern) also took eighth in the 1,650-yard freestyle, posting a time of 20:19.57.
 
The Warriors get back in the pool with the second day of the Diamond City Invitational with the first session starting at 9 a.m. and the second starting at 5 p.m. at the Catholic Youth Center.
