WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Junior
Katherine Brown (Glenside, Pa./Abington) won three individual events to lead the Lycoming College women's swim team, which won nine of the 11 events to post a 99-65 win over King's College in Middle Atlantic Conference action on Sunday, Jan. 16, at Lamade Gym Natatorium. On the men's side, Lycoming won six of the 11 events, but King's used 31 points on third place to fifth place finishes to garner a 100-97 win.

Brown cruised to wins in the 50- (25.96) and 100-yard freestyles (56.79) and added a 1:06.93 in the 100-yard breaststroke, the second-fastest time in pool history to her own 1:06.48 set against Messiah on Nov. 13, 2021.

Devon Kaiser (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) and sophomore
Elisa DiNicola (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock Township) each added two individual wins along with a relay triumph.

Kaiser won the 200-yard individual medley (2:27.50) in season-best fashion and added a 1:08.60 to take the 100-yard backstroke. DiNicola posted a 2:08.43 to win the 200-yard freestyle and added a strong 5:49.76 to win the 500-yard freestyle. Sophomore
Ruth Kauffman (Sunrise, Fla./Homeschooled), Kaiser, DiNicola and first-year
Olivia Plotts (Pottstown, Pa./Pottsgrove) teamed up to win the 200-yard medley relay in 2:06.95 as well.

Courtney Chapman (Warminster, Pa./William Tennent) added a 1:10.98 to claim the 100-yard butterfly.

The Warrior women improved to 2-6 overall and King's fell to 1-8.

Jake Booth (Wallingford, Pa./Strath Haven) and sophomore
Carter Branigan (Lansdowne, Pa./Commonwealth Charter) each won two individual events to pace the men.

Booth posted a 1:53.98 to win the 200-yard freestyle and posted a solid 5:07.93 to win the 500-yard freestyle to edge out King's Jared Stephen. Branigan notched wins in the 200-yard individual medley (2:07.16) and the 100-yard butterfly (55.92).

Noah Vivian (Barto, Pa./Boyertown Area) notched a 23.19 to take the 50-yard freestyle and the team of sophomore
C.J. Zortman (York, Pa./Suburban York), first-year
Eliot Keith (New Ringgold, Pa./Blue Mountain), Booth and Vivian notched a 1:34.27 to win the 200-yard freestyle relay.

The Warrior men fell to 5-3 overall and King's improved to 5-4 overall.

The Warriors get back in the pool on Saturday, Jan. 22, when they head to Wilkes University for a 1 p.m. MAC meet at the Wyoming Valley Catholic Youth Center.
