WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – First-year
Carter Branigan (Lansdowne, Pa./Commonwealth Charter) set his third school record in two days to highlight the final night of the virtual Middle Atlantic Conference Championships for the Lycoming College swimming teams, as he broke the 200-yard butterfly record on Sunday evening, April 18.

Branigan posted a 1:57.16 to surpass the mark set by Josh Thomas of 1:57.89 during the 2015 MAC Championships. Sophomore
Reilly Gluz (Syracuse, N.Y./Williston-Northampton) added a time of 2:09.86 in the event.

Senior
Brandon Vought (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg) kicked off the night with an impressive 17:34.02 in the 1,650-yard freestyle, while sophomore
Caleb Reigle (Mount Wolf, Pa./Northeastern) added a 19:42.15.

Junior
Jake Booth (Wallingford, Pa./Strath Haven) posted a 1:57.67 in the 200-yard backstroke. A trio of Warriors had solid times in the 100-yard freestyle, with first-year
C.J. Zortman (York, Pa./York Suburban) finishing in 50.12, first-year
Brennan Warner (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro Area) notching a 51.39 and sophomore
Matthew Michenfelder (East Windsor, N.J./Hightstown) posting a 54.02.

William Marcinkowski (Philadelphia, Pa./LaSalle College) added a 2:22.60 in the 200-yard breaststroke.

The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Zortman, Warner, Branigan and Booth capped the meet in 3:22.88.

On the women's side, senior
Cara Zortman (York, Pa./York Suburban) posted a time of 55.86 in the 100-yard freestyle to outtouch first year
Elisa DiNicola (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock Township), who posted a 56.62. First year
Courtney Chapman (Warminster, Pa./William Tennent) added a 57.82.

The trio then combined with junior
Devon Kaiser (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) to post a 3:47.57 in the 400-yard freestyle relay, with Zortman splitting a 54.81 as the anchor.

Freshman
Ruth Kauffman (Sunrise, Fla./Homeschooled) posted a 2:26.85 in the 200-yard backstroke and Kaiser finished the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:42.35.

Final results from all 13 schools will now be compiled and released on Monday, April 19 by the MAC office.
