WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Lycoming College men's basketball teams, winners of two straight conference titles, have earned a vote in the preseason D3hoops.com Top 25 poll, the website announced on Friday, Oct. 15.
 
It is only the third time in school history that the Warriors have appeared in the D3hoops.com preseason poll, joining the 2004 team which received four votes and the 2017 team, which started the season ranked 22nd.
 
The Warriors, who went 5-2 in 2020-21 en route to a MAC Freedom title in the COVID-19-shortened year after going 20-9 to win the MAC Commonwealth title in 2019-20, return four starters from last year's team, including junior First Team All-MAC Freedom forward Dyson Harward (Danville, Pa./Danville Area), who averaged 12.6 points and 6.1 rebounds in 22 minutes per game.
 
Junior DeAundre Manuel (Brooklyn, N.Y./KIPP NYC Prep) was an Honorable Mention All-MAC Freedom pick after averaging 9.3 points and 5.3 rebounds in 24 minutes per game. Junior Mo Terry (Severn, Md./Severn School) averaged 8.4 points and 3.4 rebounds and senior Matt Ilodigwe (Wilmington, Del./Concord) added 4.6 points and 1.7 assists per game. The team also returns five others that were key members of the team's bench rotation.
 
Lycoming will embark on one of the most ambitious schedules in school history, facing second-ranked Yeshiva University in the season opener on Saturday, Nov. 6, at 8 p.m., in the Dutch Burch Tip-Off Classic. The Warriors will also hit the road to face 14^th-ranked Johns Hopkins on Nov. 28, and 21^st-ranked Mount Union on Dec. 30.
 
Conference opponent Stevens, which finished 2019-20 with a 23-5 record en route to the MAC Freedom title, also received seven votes in the preseason poll.
