WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.—Senior Isaiah Valentine (Mifflinburg, Pa. / Mifflinburg Area) closed out his career with a team-high 18 points for the Lycoming College men's basketball team, who finished the 2025-26 campaign falling, 78-48, against Elizabethtown College on Saturday, Feb. 21 at Lamade Gym.
Elizabethtown led for nearly the entirety of the game, taking a 37-26 lead into halftime and continuing to expand the lead after halftime as the Blue Jays led by double digits the entire second half.
Valentine capped off his career with 18 points, including four three-pointers. He finishes his career with 1,181 points, good for 22nd on Lycoming's all-time list.
In his final game, senior J.J. Beagle (Williamsport, Pa. / Williamsport Area) finished with seven points and a game-high eight rebounds, while first year Gabriel Buksh (Vail, Ariz. / Cienega) buried a pair of threes for six points. Senior Lane Yoder (Mifflinburg, Pa. / Mifflinburg Area) knocked down a 3-pointer and played a season-high 15 minutes in his final contest.
Austin Finarelli led the Blue Jays with 21 points, as Elizabethtown shot 47 percent from the floor (31-of-66) and 41 percent from 3-point range (12-of-29).
The Warriors close their fourth season under head coach Mark Linebaugh with a three-win improvement from the 2024-25 campaign.
