YORK, Pa. -- Junior Cara Zortman (York, Pa./York Suburban) placed sixth in the 100-yard freestyle (55.04) and junior Mikayla Wright (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) placed second in the 'B' final of the 200-yard breaststroke (2:35.67) and 12th in the 1,650-yard freestyle (19:13.50) to lead the Lycoming College women's swimming team to a ninth-place finish with 407 points at the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships at the Graham Aquatic Center on Sunday, Feb. 16.
 
The men's team finished 11^th in the field of 13 teams with 252 points, as Stevens claimed both MAC titles, winning the women's title with 1,178.5 points and the men's with 1,519.5 points.
 
Zortman reached the final heat in her second event at the MAC Championships, also finishing third in the 50-yard freestyle and 10^th in the 100-yard freestyle. Wright provided a career-best time in the 1,650-yard freestyle, the fifth-fastest in program history.
 
Sophomore Devon Kaiser (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) won the 'C' final of the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:39.04 and senior Elena Pikounis (Marroittsville, Md./Marriotts Ridge) took 22nd in the 1,650-yard freestyle in 19:50.73.
 
The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Kaiser, senior Michaela Thode (Anderson, Calif./West Valley), Pikounis and Zortman posted a time of 3:52.27 to take 11^th.
 
On the men's side, sophomore Jake Booth (Wallingford, Pa,/Strath Haven) and junior Dominick Berardelli (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area) placed 10th and 15th in the 200-yard backstroke with times of 2:03.66 and 2:07.33, respectively, while competing in the 'B' final.
 
Freshman William Marcinkowski (Philadelphia, Pa./LaSalle College) placed in the 'C' final with a time of 2:21.74 in the 200-yard breaststroke and junior Brandon Vought (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg Area) scored 16 team points with an 11^th-place finish in the 1,650-yard freestyle, posting a time of 17:09.75. Senior Will Gillespie (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) picked up three team points with a 22nd-place finish in the race with a time of 18:26.20 and freshman Caleb Reigle (Mount Wolf, Pa./Northeastern) was 28th (19:43.76).
 
The 400-yard freestyle relay team of freshman Matthew Michenfelder (East Windsor, N.J./Hightstown), Vought, Berardelli and Marcinkowski took 12^th in 3:30.85.
