WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - With a 19-point first round win over William Paterson, the Lycoming College women's basketball team will get back on the court looking to win the Steel Club Classic when it faces off with host Moravian on Sunday, Jan. 5, at 1 p.m. at Johnston Hall.

The Warriors (8-4 overall) built a 13-2 lead in the first quarter and never looked back against the Pioneers, leading by as many as 30 in the win. Senior Kayla Kline led the way with 13 points and 15 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the season.

Moravian (7-4 overall) posted a 63-50 win over Neumann in their first round game, as senior guard Maddie Capuano led the team with 19 points, five rebounds and two steals. Senior Nadine Ewald added 10 points and 10 rebounds.

• The Warriors are 7-0 when holding opponents to less than 40 percent shooting from the floor.

• Senior Kayla Kline needs 13 more points to become the 12th player in school history to reach 1,000 in a career. 

• With 563 career rebounds, Kline needs 15 more to tie Annette Weller (1991-96) for seventh in school history.

• Senior Akilah McFadden and Kline can become the first set of Warriors to reach 1,000 points in the same season since Adrienne Aiken and Kim Wood did it in 1990.

• With 106 career 3-pointers made, senior Morgan Mader needs to hit one more to tie Jessica Zerbee (2006-10) for fifth in program history.

• With 115 career blocks, junior Erica Lutz needs three more to tie Annette Bieber (1998-02) for second in program history.

• Junior Sydney Purcell's 10 assists against William Paterson are  tied for ninth-most in program history. It was Lycoming's  first 10-assist game 2017.
