WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - After an 18-day break in their schedule, the Lycoming College women's basketball team will open the new year by heading to Moravian College for the Steel Club Classic, facing off with William Paterson at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 4, in an opening-round game.
The Warriors (7-4 overall) are coming off a convincing 78-57 win over Wilkes on Dec. 17, as the win stopped a two-game skid. Senior
Kayla Kline led the team with 16 points, junior
Erica Lutz added 15 points and 16 rebounds and senior
Akilah McFadden had 14 points and five steals.
The Pioneers (5-5 overall) have won four in a row, all NJAC contests, including a 60-57 overtime win against Stockton in the last outing on Dec. 14. Sophomore Yakira Rose led the way with 19 points.
