WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Closing the 2018-19 season with a two-game home stand, the Lycoming College men's basketball team is set to start it by hosting Hood College in MAC Commonwealth action on Saturday, Feb. 9, at 3 p.m., at Lamade Gym. 

The Warriors (9-14 overall, 3-11 MAC Commonwealth) fell to Messiah, 57-52, on Wednesday. Lycoming erased a 20-point first-half deficit to tie the game with 1:24 remaining, but the Falcons scored the game's final five points. Senior Darius James had a team-high 16 points and seven rebounds. Sophomore D'Yante Doughty added 13 points and seven rebounds. 

The Blazers (15-7 overall, 9-4 MAC Commonwealth)  defeated Albright, 82-65, on Wednesday. Sophomore Mason Wang led four players in double figures with 16 points, six assists, five rebounds and three steals. 

Game Notes
• The Warriors are 11-8 all time on Feb. 9, last winning 82-76 in overtime at Arcadia in 2013.   

• With three trifectas against Messiah, sophomore D'Yante Doughty became the record-setting fifth Warrior to knock down 30 3-pointers this season. 

• Lycoming needs one more win to reach 10 wins for the 25th straight season.

• With 223 made 3-pointers this season, the Warriors need 11 more to tie the 1998-99 team for second in program history.

• Senior Calvin Chandler has scored in double figures 10 times this season, two and a half times more than the four times he reached 10 points in the first three years of his career.

• With his 8.3 rebounds per game, senior Darius James can become the first Warrior to lead the conference in rebounding since Matt Stackhouse led the MAC Freedom with 10.4 in 2002-03.

• Every player on the Warriors' roster is averaging a career-high in points.
