WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Already locked into the No. 2 seed in the MAC Commonwealth Championship, the Lycoming College women's basketball team will tune-up for the tournament when another team, Widener University, that will factor into the five-team event comes to Lamade Gym on Saturday, Feb. 16, for a 1 p.m. game.
The Warriors (17-7 overall, 11-4 MAC Commonwealth) clinched a top-two seed in the conference tournament with the results from Tuesday's games. The Warriors have been idle since Feb. 9, when it posted a 76-40 win over Widener, led by 18 points from junior
Kayla Kline.
The Pride (18-6 overall, 9-6 MAC Commonwealth) are coming off a 67-54 setback at Arcadia. Junior Devan Rimmer led the team with 20 points.
Game Notes
• The Warriors will host a Middle Atlantic Conference game for the first time since 1997 when they host a MAC Commonwealth semifinal on Wednesday, Feb. 20.
• The Warriors need one more win to break the school record of 11 conference wins set by the 2017-18 (11-5) and 1994-95 (11-3) teams.
• The Warriors need one more win to become the first team since the 1987-88 team won a school-record 21 games to post 18 wins in a season.Â
