WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - With a 39-point second half, the Lycoming College women's basketball team surged past Alvernia for a win in the MAC Commonwealth opener, sending it into the final game of a three-game road trip at Stevenson University on Saturday, Dec. 7, looking to end the trip with a winning record.
The Warriors (5-2 overall, 1-0 MAC Commonwealth) posted a 58-46 win over Alvernia on Wednesday, Dec. 4, as senior
Morgan Mader led the team with 14 points and senior
Akilah McFadden added 12. Lycoming shot 47 percent from the field in the second half to overpower Alvernia.
The Mustangs (2-4 overall, 0-1 MAC Commonwealth) fell to defending conference champion Messiah, 59-53, on Wednesday. Sophomore Kellie Johnson led the team with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
