WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - After a wire-to-wire win over Union College to start the Land of Magic Classic, the Lycoming College men's basketball team will face Kenyon College to wrap up the team's time at the event at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 29.
The Warriors (8-3 overall) posted a 64-54 win over Union in their opening game of the tournament, as freshman
Dyson Harward posted 17 points, 17 rebounds and eight blocks to lead the way. Lycoming shot 45 percent from the field in the game and freshman
Mo Terry added 15 points and junior
Darius Dangerfield notched 12.
The Lords (4-4 overall) were predicted to finish 10th in the North Coast Athletic Conference. The team is coming off an 82-72 loss to Westminster (Pa.) on Dec. 13, where junior Ugnius Zilinskas led the team with 19 points and senior Ryan O'Neil added 18.
Warrior Notes
• The furthest South that the Warriors had played previously was the Chowan Shootout in Murfreesboro, N.C., in 2001, where the team beat Chowan (87-79) and Virginia Wesleyan (85-82).
• The Warriors are 6-1 when scoring 70 points or more.
