GREENVILLE, Pa. – With 10 bonus-point victories, the Lycoming College wrestling team cruised to a pair of victories at a tri-meet at Thiel College, beating 22^nd-ranked Jamestown Community College, 51-3, before downing Thiel, 40-6, at Beeghly Gymnasium on Friday night, Nov. 15.
 
The Warriors notched four falls and a major decision in the win over Thiel and added three technical falls and two pins against Jamestown.
 
Junior Shane Casey (Catawissa, Pa./Southern Columbia) started the Thiel dual with a first-period pin of Brynen Kisiel at 125 before freshman 133-pounder Sam Hanley (Danielsville, Pa./Northampton Area) pinned Jake Alberts in the second-period to make it 12-0. Decisions from the Santomarco brothers at 149 and 157, including a 4-3 win by freshman Paul Santomarco (Manalapan, N.J./Manalapan) over Austin Bonacci, ranked in the honorable mention portion of the d3wrestle.com rankings, made it 18-3.
 
Freshman Hunter O'Connor (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore Area) followed with a major decision over Jake Longerman at 165 and a forfeit at 174 clinched the meet for the Warriors. Freshman 184-pounder Gable Crebs (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area) pinned Dylan Proper in 2:18 and sophomore 285-pounder Nick Winfield (Gibsonia, Pa./Southern Huntingdon County) closed out the meet with a pin of Gavin Colligan with seven seconds left in the first period.
 
The Warriors clinched the dual against 22^nd-ranked Jamestown Community College by garnering 33 points in the first six matches, with freshman 125-pounder Garrett Lee (Hollywood, Md./Leonardtown), Hanley and senior 149-pounder Joe Santomarco (Manalapan, N.J./Manalapan) all posting wins via technical fall.
 
The team capped the dual with a pair of pins, as freshman Mason Novak (Ambler, Pa./Upper Dublin) pinned Jesse Storch in 22 seconds at 184 and Winfield pinned Jacob Smith in 1:06 at 285 pounds to wrap up the 51-3 win.
 
The Warriors get back on the mat on Sunday, Nov. 24, when they head to the John Carroll University Duals in University Heights, Ohio. The meet is set to start at 10 a.m.
