WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - After making an appearance in the MAC Commonwealth Championship game in 2018-19, the Lycoming College women's basketball team will open the 2019-20 season at the Rose City Classic, facing off with Bates College in the first round on Friday, Nov. 15, at 8 p.m.
The Warriors finished 2019-20 with an 18-9 overall record, as the team reached a conference title game for the first time since 1990. Senior
Kayla Kline led the team with 14.5 points and junior
Erica Lutz added 9.2 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game.
Bates is coming off a 12-12 season with a 2-8 mark in NESCAC play. The Bobcats areled by sophomore guard Meghan Graff, who averaged 11.4 points and junior Taylor McVeigh, who grabbed 7.1 rebounds in 2018-19.
Warrior Notes
• This is the first meeting in Lycoming women's basketball's 42-year history with a NESCAC program.
• The Warriors are 15-11 in season-openers under head coach
Christen Ditzler and 20-21 all-time.
• The Warriors have had a winning record in a school-record six straight seasons, amassing a 92-62 (.597) record in that span.
• The Warriors' 18 wins in 2018-19 were second in program history to the 1987-88 team, which won 21.

• With 904 career points, McFadden needs 12 more to tie Jennifer Shuler (1995-99) for 12th in program history.
• Lutz needs one more double-double to become the ninth player in program history to post 10 in a career.
