WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Three Lycoming College wrestlers capped off perfect performances at the 31^st-annual Whitehill Duals as Lycoming came-from-behind for a pair of wins on Saturday, Jan. 12, posting a 23-21 win over 23^rd-ranked Washington & Lee before notching a 25-15 win over Wesleyan.
 
Junior 157-pounder Trevor Corl (Howard, Pa./Bellefonte Area), junior 197-pounder Travis Ogden (Clearfield, Pa./Clearfield) and senior Garrett Wesneski (Canton, Pa./Canton Area) all finished off 5-0 runs at the tournament, with Wesneski notching two pins on Saturday to cap off Warrior wins.
 
TCNJ wrapped up its 10^th Whitehill Duals title with a 37-10 win over Wis.-Stevens Point in the championship match.
 
With bonus-point wins in three bouts, including a meet-clinching pin from Wesneski, Lycoming was able to post a come-from-behind 23-21 win over No. 23 Washington & Lee.
 
Down 21-14, the Warriors scored nine points in the last two matches to secure the upset over the Generals, with junior Travis Ogden (Clearfield, Pa./Clearfield Area) kicking off the upset bid with a 4-0 win over Brad Basham at 197. Wesneski earned his meet-clinching win in 49 seconds against Clay Chadwick at heavyweight.
 
The Warriors earned three points at 125 with a 6-0 win from sophomore Shane Casey (Catawissa, Pa./Southern Columbia) over Ethan Hartman before the Generals posted three straight wins to take a 14-3 lead. Junior Trevor Corl (Howard, Pa./Bellefonte) cut the lead to 14-8 with a 17-0 tech fall of Joe Dunn at 157 before junior Hadyn Swartwood (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore) tied it with a pin of Nicholas Konovalchik in 1:09 at 165. The Generals, however, won the next two points to take a seven-point lead before the Warriors' comeback.
 
Against Wesleyan, the Warriors cameback from an early 12-3 deficit by winning six of the last eight bouts, including the last five in a row to post a 25-15 win.
 
Down 9-0 heading into the 141-pound match, senior Eric Hunt (Muncy, Pa./Warrior Run) provided a lift with a third-period takedown to post an 8-6 win over Andrew Hennessy. Corl posted a 4-3 win over Aaron Goldman at 157 pounds, but a win by decision at 165 gave Wesleyan a 15-6 lead.
 
Sophomore Chris Grecco (Riverdale, N.J./Pompton Lakes) sparked the Warriors at 174, pinning Marco Gaita in the second period before senior Bradley Miccio (Bloomsburg, Pa./Benton) tied it with a 6-0 win over Duncan Kreutter. Ogden followed with a 14-4 major decision over Simon Chee at 197 and Wesneski secured with win with a first-period pin of Harrison Karp.
 
The Warriors get back on the mat on Saturday, Jan. 19, when they head to King's College for the MAC Championships at 10:30 a.m.
