WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -Â After a narrow three-point loss to Rutgers-Newark in the opener of the Hoops for Hounds Tournament, the Lycoming College women's basketball team will get back on the court on Sunday, Dec. 30, as it hosts Hunter College in the consolation game of the tournament at 12 p.m. at Lamade Gym.
The Warriors (8-4 overall) were led by 20 points and five steals from junior
Akilah McFadden in a 72-69 loss to Rutgers-Newark. Sophomore
Erica Lutz added 13 points and 13 rebounds and junior
Kayla Kline also had 11 points.
Hunter (4-6 overall) fell to Rosemont, 69-59, in the other first round game. Junior Theresa Leung led the Hawks with 14 points and three steals and senior Selina Lim added 11 points and six rebounds.
Warrior Notes
• The Warriors are 1-1 all-time against CUNYAC opponents, last beating John Jay, 80-57, at the Hoops four Hounds Tournament in 2009.
