WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - Led by two individual wins a piece from seniors
Emilie Kramer (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro),
Callan Jordan (Hurley, N.Y./Western Academy of Beijing) and freshman
Jake Booth (Wallingfor, Pa./Strath Haven), the Lycoming College swim teams won 14 events against Middle Atlantic Conference opponent Wilkes University on Saturday afternoon, Dec. 1, at the Wyoming Valley Catholic Youth Center, as the women's team posted a 122-65 and the men fell, 109-96, in a meet that came down to the final race.
The Lycoming women improve to 3-3 on the year and the men fall to 2-4. The Wilkes men moved to 5-1 overall and the women fell to 2-4.
Kramer took first in the 200-yard breaststroke with a swim of 2:32.27 and the 200-yard individual medley in 2:18.31. She also teamed up with sophomore
McKenna Zeller (White Haven, Pa./Holy Redeemer), sophomore
Cara Zortman (York, Pa./York Suburban) and freshman
Devon Kaiser (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) to take first in the 400-yard medley relay with a swim of 4:10.00.

Elena Pikounis (Marriottsville, Md./Marriotts Ridge) and Zeller also finished first with a swim of 3:59.84.
Zeller picked up a first-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle with a swim of 57.28, Zortman won the 200-yard freestyle with a swim of 2:06.31 and sophomore
Mikayla Wright (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) swam a 5:49.99 in the 500-yard free to win. Kaiser also won the 50-yard freestyle by finishing in 26.98 seconds, as Lycoming won eight of the 11 events.
Lycoming held a 85-84 advantage on the men's side with two events left, but Wilkes was able to win both the 200-yard breaststroke and the 400-yard freestyle relay, by just half-a-second to edge out the 13-point win. If Lycoming had won the 400-yard freestyle relay, the team would have won by a point.
Jordan took first in both his freestyle events, swimming the 50-yard freestyle in 22.00 and the 100-yard freestyle in 49.18. Booth placed first in the 200-yard freestyle with a swim of 1:52.11 and the 200-yard backstroke in 2:04.30.
Sophomore
Brandon Vought (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg) won the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:43.62) and junior
Will Gillespie (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) added another first-place finish with a time of 2:11.00 in the 200-yard butterfly, as Lycoming won six of the 11 events in the meet.
The Warriors will now head into its winter break in the final two weeks of the semester. They will be back in action on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 19, as they host Middle Atlantic Conference opponent King's, at 1 p.m., for Senior Day at the Lamade Gym Natatorium.
