WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - After a two-week break, the Lycoming College women's basketball team will leap into 2018 by starting its MAC Commonwealth schedule in earnest, starting by heading to Lebanon Valley in a battle for second place for an 8 p.m. contest on Wednesday, Jan. 3.

The Warriors (8-3 overall, 3-1 MAC Commonwealth) are coming off a 63-56 win over Mary Washington, which qualified for the last two NCAA Tournaments. Sophomore Morgan Mader led the Warriors with 15 points and a career-high four steals, as she was at the forefront of a Lycoming bench that scored 32 points.

The Flying Dutchmen (8-5 overall, 3-1 MAC Commonwealth) fell to Drew, 63-55, in its last outing, with sophomore Morgan Bamberger leading the team with 14 points.

Warrior Notes
• The Warriors have won eight of their first 11 games in each of the last four seasons.

• The Warriors are out for a second straight win at Lebanon Valley for the first time in program history after a 73-59 win in the MAC Commonwealth Championship first round in 2017.

• Lycoming leads the MAC Commonwealth with an average of 77.3 points per game, a .330 defensive field goal percentage, a .410 3-point field goal percentage, 6.6 3-point field goals per game, 45.9 rebounds per game and 17.9 offensive rebounds per game.

• Senior Shelby Mueller needs five more rebounds to become the sixth player in school history to reach 600 in her career.

• With 1,052 points, Mueller needs 20 more points to move into a tie for eighth in school history with Kim Wood (1987-90).

• Junior Becca Painter needs five more points to reach 200 in her career.

• Sophomore Taylor Saunders had a career-high five points and junior Jenn Grove had a season-high five against Mary Washington.
