Warriors out to earn home postseason game in regular-season finale

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Already having secured a spot in the postseason for the fourth time in five years, the Lycoming College women's basketball team will take the floor on Saturday, Feb. 18, needing an upset against Stevenson to guarantee its first home postseason game since 1997.

The Warriors (14-9 overall, 8-7 MAC Commonwealth) are coming off a tough 69-63 loss to Lebanon Valley, after taking a one-point lead with 2:32 left. Junior Shelby Mueller led the team with 17 points and seven rebounds and junior Haley Sipple added 10 points.

The Mustangs (16-8 overall, 11-4 MAC Commonwealth) are coming off a 72-34 win over Alvernia for the team's third straight win. Senior Sara Tarbert notched her 25th straight double-double in the win.

Game Notes
• The Warriors are one of four teams in the MAC Commonwealth that have clinched postseason appearances in four of the last five years.

• Since senior Nicole Calella began her career, the Warriors have gone 56-43, the most wins for a program over a four-year span since 1996-00.

• Calella is third in school history with 362 career assists and eighth with 158 steals. 

• Calella is one of seven players in school history to post 30 steals in all four years of her career.

• Junior Shelby Mueller needs one more double-double to become the fifth player in school history to post 10 in a single season.

• Mueller is one of seven players at Lycoming to score 300 points in back-to-back seasons and the first since Lyndy LeVan in 2001-02.

• Freshman Akilah McFadden is the first Warrior rookie in program history to post 60 steals in a season.

• McFadden needs 27 more points to become the first Warrior rookie since Andrea Cooper (2005-06) to score 300.
