WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – In the first dual meet of her career, freshman
McKenna Zeller (White Haven, Pa./Holy Redeemer) set the school-record in the 100-yard backstroke, breaking a five-year old mark, to highlight the Lycoming College swim team's meet against Albright College on Saturday, Oct. 21, at Lamade Gym Natatorium. The Warriors fell to the Lions on the women's side, 162-97, while the men fell to the defending conference champs, 159-103.

Swimming in just the fourth individual event of her career, Zeller bested BethAnn Scwoyer's record set in 2012 by 0.59 seconds as she gave the Warrior women their first win of the meet, posting a time of 1:01.24. Zeller also took first in the 200-yard backstroke with her swim of 2:18.83, besting the second-place finisher by 20 seconds.

In the 100-yard breaststroke, junior
Emilie Kramer (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro Area) took first with her swim of 1:11.36, beating the second-place finisher by seven seconds. Kramer just missed out on first place in the 200-yard individual medley, finishing behind Albright's Juli Hyatt with a time of 2:21.83, just 0.35 seconds behind Hyatt, and she also finished second in the 200-yard breaststroke.

On the men's side, sophomore
Devyn Goda (Reading, Pa./Reading) and junior
Callan Jordan (Hurley, Pa./Western Academy of Beijing) each won two individual events and helped take first in the 200-yard medley relay. Goda took first in both the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke with times of 1:01.06 and 2:22.29, respectively.

Jordan finished first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.04 and first in the 100-yard backstroke with a 55:15. Senior
Andrew Canavan (Caldwell, N.J./James Caldwell), placing first in the 200-yard backstroke with a 2:04.71, finished right behind Jordan in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing with a 56.96. In the 200-yard medley relay, Goda, Jordan, freshman
Brandon Vought (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg) and sophomore
Theo Gouskos (Easton, Pa./Easton Area) came away with a narrow win, swimming a 1:41.54 to take first, beating Albright's relay team by a little more than a second.

Vought also finished second in the 500-yard freestyle with a swim of 5:15.91. The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Gouskos, Goda, Jordan and freshman
Caleb Beard (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport Area) took second with a time of 1:33.30, just two seconds out of first place.

The Warriors return to the pool on Saturday, Nov. 4, at 1 p.m., facing Stevenson University in another MAC meet at the Lamade Gym Natatorium.
