Box Score WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – With a solid all-around effort that included 45 kills and a solid .252 hitting percentage, the Lycoming College volleyball team defeated Lancaster Bible College, 3-0 (25-23, 25-17, 25-19), in non-conference action at Lamade Gym on Thursday night, Oct. 12.
 
Sophomore 
Alysa McDevitt (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop Wood) led the team with 10 kills, hitting .643, and the trio of sophomores 
Lilly Singleton (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic), 
Katie Hausknecht (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) and freshman 
Elle Jednorski (Forest Hill, Md./Fallston) each added eight kills. Singleton also posted two aces and 10 digs.
 
Sophomore 
Emily Morris (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem North) posted 18 assists and four digs and senior 
Catherine Burger (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford) posted 19 assists, seven digs, three aces and three kills to pace the offense. Junior 
Emily Hepner (Leesport, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) added 15 digs and two aces.
 
The Warriors were led in the first set by Hausknecht, who posted five kills and McDevitt, who posted four. Lycoming jumped out from a tie at 19 thanks to four points off the serve of Burger to take control before Hausknecht notched a kill to the far side of the court to clinch a 25-23 win.
 
In the second set, Lycoming jumped out to an 18-9 lead and increased the lead to as many as 11 points before the Chargers closed the gap to eight at 25-17 when the set was ended with a kill from Jednorski.
 
The Warriors jumped out to a 7-2 lead in the third set before the Chargers fought back to take a 15-11 lead. Lycoming answered with a 14-4 run to close out the win with two kills from Jednorski securing the 25-19 win.
 
Hannah Gipe, Bekah Roberts and Ashtyn Bouslog each had five kills for the Chargers. Allison Shuey posted 16 assists, Roberts had five blocks and Hannah Thompson posted nine digs. Erin Harkey finished with five aces.
 
The Warriors get back on the court on Friday, Oct. 13, when they head to the Alfred Crossover Tournament, facing Alfred State at 3 p.m. and Lynchburg at 5 p.m. at Alfred State.
