WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Looking to clinch its fourth MAC Commonwealth Championship berth in five years, the fourth-place Lycoming College women's basketball team can take a big step in that direction on Saturday, Jan. 28, when it host sixth-place Widener University at 1 p.m. in Lamade Gym.
The Warriors (11-7 overall, 5-5 MAC Commonwealth) are coming off a spirited performance in a 60-54 loss to 20th-ranked Messiah, as came back from a 17-point halftime deficit to take a fourth-quarter lead. Freshman
Kayla Kline led the team with 24 points and eight rebounds.
The Pride (6-12 overall, 3-6 MAC Commonwealth) sit a game and a half behind the Warriors with seven games remaining in the race for one of the five MAC Commonwealth Championships slots. They lost to Albright, 69-45, in their last outing.
Game Notes
• The Warriors need one more win to clinch their fourth straight .500 season, the longest stretch for the program since a five-year run from 1993-98.
• The Warriors are 5-1 in games following a loss this year and 13-4 since the beginning of the 2015-16 season.

• Kline's 24 points against Messiah are the most for a Warrior freshman since Kaitlyn Ober scored 24 against Penn State Hazleton on Nov. 29, 2007.
