Warriors out for fourth straight win Saturday at Hood

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Having built a two-game lead in MAC Commonwealth standings through the first half of the season, the Lycoming College men's basketball team will head into the home stretch of its regular season on Saturday, Jan. 21, when it heads to second-place Hood for an important MAC Commonwealth game.

The Warriors (15-2 overall, 7-1 MAC Commonwealth) are coming off a 69-67 win over Arcadia, as junior Chris Wallace led the team with 12 points and 12 rebounds and senior David Johnson also added 12 points in the win.

The Blazers (13-4 overall, 5-3 MAC Commonwealth) notched a 95-68 win over Stevenson in its last game, with junior Scott Bolen leading the team with 17 points and freshman Michael Riley added 14.

Game Notes

• The Warriors have led the MAC Commonwealth at the end of the first half of the season in each of the last three years.

• Eight Warriors are averaging at least 5.0 points per game, the program's most since 2012-13.

• Junior Chris Wallace is two rebounds shy of reaching 400 in his career.

• With 119 career steals, junior Alex Newbold needs two more steals to tie James Oberlies (2006-10) for eighth in program history.

• Senior Nyk King needs two more steals to become the fifth player in school history to post 50 assists and 30 steals in three straight seasons.

• Senior Willie Kee needs one more assist to reach 100 in his two-year career as a Warrior.
