Warriors head back to Lebanon Valley for MAC Commonwealth Championship opener

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - After posting the first series sweep against Lebanon Valley in program history, the Lycoming College women's basketball team will have to get past Lebanon Valley one more time when it opens the MAC Commonwealth Championship on Monday night, Feb. 22, at Sorrentino Gymnasium at 7 p.m.

The Warriors finished the regular season with a 14-11 overall record and a 9-7 mark in the MAC Commonwealth, helping the team post its third straight winning season and make its third appearance in the MAC Commonwealth Championship in the last four years.

Lebanon Valley (16-9 overall) is led by Kiely Chaklos, who is averaging 10.6 points per game, and Lexie Lantz, who is averaging 10.5 points. The Flying Dutchmen lead the MAC Commonwealth in scoring defense, allowing just 54.3 points per game.

Warrior Notes
• This is the 10th time in program history that the Warriors have qualified for a Middle Atlantic Conference postseason tournament.

• The Warriors last won a postseason game in 1997 when the team posted a 63-44 win over Susquehanna in the MAC Championship quarterfinals.

• With 64 steals this season, senior Chelsea Henderson needs three more to move into eighth in the program's single-season records.

• With 50 made 3-pointers this year, senior Olivia Manges needs one more to move into second in the program's single-season records.

• Henderson and Manges are the first Lycoming senior class since 2000 to reach the postseason three times in their careers.

• With 129 assists this season, junior Nicole Calella needs four more to move into fourth in the program's single-season record book.
