WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - It took every single minute of the MAC Commonwealth men's basketball season, but an Arcadia win over Messiah on Saturday night helped Lycoming College earn the No. 5 seed in the MAC Commonwealth Championship, as it opens the tournament by heading to Stevenson for a 7 p.m. game on Monday, Feb. 22.
The Warrior men finished the regular season with a 16-9 overall record and an 8-8 record in the MAC Commonwealth, finishing tied for fifth with Widener. The Warriors earned the tiebreaker win on the second criteria, as they split the regular season meeting with Widener (the first criteria) and won the tiebreaker by virtue of a regular-season win over Alvernia, the top-seed in the tournament.
Stevenson (11-14 overall) is led by one of the top players in the league in Erik Fisher, who is fourth with 18.6 points per game and leads the league at 9.4 rebounds per game.
