WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -Â Having wrapped up the first semester with a 7-3 record, the Lycoming College women's basketball team will wrap up the 2016 portion of its schedule with the Hoops for Hounds Tournament, facing a Hiram College squad that appears poised to post its first winning season in 28 years in the first round on Wednesday, Dec. 28, at 5 p.m.
The Warriors (7-3 overall) are coming off an 80-50 win over Alvernia, as 12 players found the scoring column, led by 18 from junior
Haley Sipple. Lycoming his nine 3-pointers in the first half and finished 10-of-17 from long range in the game.
The Terriers (10-2 overall) haven't had a winning season since 1988-89, but are just three wins shy of clinching one in 2016-17.
Warrior Notes
• The Warriors are 7-3 all-time in the Hoops for Hounds Tournament first round.
