WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Having wrapped up the first semester with a 7-3 record, the Lycoming College women's basketball team will wrap up the 2016 portion of its schedule with the Hoops for Hounds Tournament, facing a Hiram College squad that appears poised to post its first winning season in 28 years in the first round on Wednesday, Dec. 28, at 5 p.m.

The Warriors (7-3 overall) are coming off an 80-50 win over Alvernia, as 12 players found the scoring column, led by 18 from junior Haley Sipple. Lycoming his nine 3-pointers in the first half and finished 10-of-17 from long range in the game.

The Terriers (10-2 overall) haven't had a winning season since 1988-89, but are just three wins shy of clinching one in 2016-17.

• The Warriors are 7-3 all-time in the Hoops for Hounds Tournament first round.

• Junior Haley Sipple became Lycoming's first MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week since 2014 after her 18-point effort against Alvernia.

• With 308 career assists, senior Nicole Calella is five shy of tying Jessica Zerbee (2006-10) for third in program history.

• Junior Shelby Mueller is one of two players in the MAC Commonwealth in the top five in the league in scoring (12.4, fifth) and rebounding (7.9, fifth).

• The Warriors lead the MAC Commonwealth in rebounds per game (43.1) and defensive rebounds (29.2).

• Freshman Kayla Kline is six points shy of reaching 100 in her career and freshmen Akilah McFadden is seven from the milestone.

• Five Warriors are listed amongst the top 15 in the MAC Commonwealth in blocked shots.
