WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -Â Heading into the holiday break, the Lycoming College women's basketball team will look to even its MAC Commonwealth record when Alvernia University comes to Lamade Gym on Tuesday, Nov. 13, for a 6 p.m. tip-off.
The Warriors (6-3 overall, 1-2 MAC Commonwealth) made a frantic comeback from an 18-point deficit in its last outing, battling to a one-possession final in a 78-75 loss to Widener. Junior
Shelby Mueller led the team with 16 points and 13 rebounds and junior
Haley Sipple added 15 points and nine rebounds.
The Crusaders (0-7 overall, 0-3 MAC Commonwealth) fell victim to the conference's only remaining undefeated team in its last outing, falling to Messiah, 72-48. Sophomore Maya Cooper led the team with 14 points.
Warrior Notes
• The Warriors have won at least two of their first four games in the MAC Commonwealth in each of the last five seasons.
• Since the start of the 2015-16 season, the Warriors are 9-4 following a loss.
