WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -Â With a revamped roster that includes nine freshmen, the Lycoming College women's basketball team will head to Penn State Hazleton to open the 2016-17 season at Caccese Gymnasium on Thursday, Nov. 17.
The Warriors (0-0 overall) will head onto the court with a youthful backcourt after the graduation of two senior starters from the 2015-16 team that went 14-12 and reached the MAC Commonwealth Tournament for the third time in four years.
The Nittany Lions (4-0 overall) have gotten out to a hot start in 2016-17, posting wins over Luzerne County C.C., SUNY Delhi, Davis and Cairn. The team posted a 64-40 win over Cairn, with three players notching double-doubles, on Tuesday, Nov. 15.

• The Warriors are 11-12 in season openers in head coach Chris Ditzler's first 23 years as head coach.
• Ditzler's next win is the 275th in her career. Only Budd Whitehill (373, wrestling),
Roger Crebs (366, wrestling) and Dutch Burch (318, men's basketball) have won more in a single sport at Lycoming.
