Warriors set for season opener against Penn State Hazleton

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - With a revamped roster that includes nine freshmen, the Lycoming College women's basketball team will head to Penn State Hazleton to open the 2016-17 season at Caccese Gymnasium on Thursday, Nov. 17.

The Warriors (0-0 overall) will head onto the court with a youthful backcourt after the graduation of two senior starters from the 2015-16 team that went 14-12 and reached the MAC Commonwealth Tournament for the third time in four years.

The Nittany Lions (4-0 overall) have gotten out to a hot start in 2016-17, posting wins over Luzerne County C.C., SUNY Delhi, Davis and Cairn. The team posted a 64-40 win over Cairn, with three players notching double-doubles, on Tuesday, Nov. 15.
