WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - After a month's worth of practice, the Lycoming College men's basketball team will finally open the 2016-17 season on Tuesday, Nov. 15, when it hosts Fredonia in Lamade Gym.
The Warriors are coming off a 19-10 season in 2015-16, when it claimed the MAC Commonwealth title. The Warriors led the conference in scoring margin (5.9), steals (9.3) and turnover margin (5.2). Lycoming has five players returning that averaged in double figures last year, led by senior
Nyk King, who averaged 12.7 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.
The Blue Devils are coming off a 7-17 season in 2015-16. The team was led by sophomore Ian Helps, who averaged 18.3 points and 8.9 rebounds, finishing in the top five in the SUNYAC in both categories.
