UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – Senior Seth Lansberry (Klingerstown, Pa./Line Mountain) once again wrote his names in the Lycoming College wrestling record books, as he surpassed the school record for technical falls and won all four matches to lead the ninth-ranked Lycoming grapplers to a 3-1 day at the John Carroll University Duals on Sunday, Nov. 13.
 
The Warriors (3-1 overall) opened the day with a 40-15 win over Adrian College (0-2 overall) before posting a 48-6 win over Lourdes University (0-6 overall). After a 30-13 loss to Otterbein (5-0 overall), the Warriors rebounded with a 24-11 win over John Carroll (3-2 overall).
 
Lansberry used two technical falls to give him 14 in his career, surpassing the record held by Derek Crane (2001-06) and Isaiah Britton (2009-11), setting the record in an 18-2 win over Ty Jaman in his opening match of the duals.
 
As has been custom, the middle four weight classes dominated during the four duals, racking up a 15-1 record and scoring 70 points, with Lansberry, the top-ranked wrestler in Division III at 149 pounds, second-ranked Nolan Barger (Clearfield, Pa./Clearfield Area) at 165 pounds and junior Brandon Conrad (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg Area) at 174 pounds all posting 4-0 records at the duals. Freshman Hadyn Swartwood (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore Area) went 3-1 at 157 pounds.
 
The Warriors also succeeded late in the lineup, with both freshman Travis Ogden (Clearfield, Pa./Clearfield Area) (197 pounds) and senior Skylar Ebner (Muncy, Pa./Muncy Area) (285 pounds) each finishing 3-1.
 
The Warriors opened the duals by overcoming an early 9-0 deficit thanks to bonus points wins in five straight bouts to build up a 28-9 lead over Adrian before adding a forfeit win and a pin to take the 40-15 win. Lycoming continued to roll against Lourdes, winning six matches by fall in the 48-6 win.
 
Otterbein pulled ahead 15-0 in the third match of the day before Lansberry posted a 15-0 technical fall to down Cortez Gainey for the 14^th of his career. Another technical fall by Barger and a decision by Conrad at 174 moved the Warriors within 18-13, but Otterbein won the last three bouts to earn the win.
 
Lycoming fell behind 9-0 after three bouts against John Carroll, but won the next four bouts thanks to powerhouse part of the lineup (Lansberry, Swartwood, Barger, Conrad) to take a 12-9 lead. After a Blue Streaks decision at 184 retied the score, both Ogden and Ebner stuck their opponents in the final two bouts to give Lycoming the 24-11 win after a team point was deducted from John Carroll.
 
The Warriors get back on the mat on Sunday, Nov. 20, when they will host Elizabethtown (1 p.m.), Washington & Jefferson (2:30 p.m.) and Penn College (4 p.m.) in a quad-match at Lamade Gym.
