WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - After the Lycoming College women's basketball team rallied down the stretch for a key conference win against Lebanon Valley, the team will step out of conference for the final time in 2015-16 on Martin Luther King Day, Jan. 18, against King's (Pa.) in a 7 p.m. tip at Lamade Gym.
The Warriors (10-6 overall) were led by a season-high 20 points from senior
Olivia Manges in the 63-60 win over Lebanon Valley. Freshman
Jenn Grove finished with 12 points and junior
Nicole Calella added 11, including the go-ahead 3-pointer with 2:51 left.
The Lions (9-5 overall) posted a 63-52 win over Eastern in its last outing. Senior Jennifer Fabian led the way with 17 points and senior Tara Zdancewicz added 15.
Warrior Notes• The last three meetings between the two squads have been decided by an average of 3.3 points, with Lycoming prevailing by two (59-57) in 2015 and King's by three (69-66) and five (71-66) in two meetings in 2013.
• Junior Nicole Callela needs one more steal to become the 14th player in school history to notch three straight seasons with at least 30 steals.
