Lycoming heads to Albright looking for an upset

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - With wins in four of its last five games, the Lycoming College women's basketball team will head to second-place Albright College on Saturday, Feb. 7, looking to close within a half-game of fourth place Arcadia heading into the final two weeks of the season.

The Warriors (14-7 overall, 6-6 Commonwealth) are coming off the program's first win at Widener in school history, 64-54, on Wednesday, Feb. 4. Junior Chelsea Henderson led the team to the win with a career-high 18 points to go with six rebounds and three steals.

The Lions (14-6 overall, 8-3 Commonwealth) have dropped back-to-back games to Lebanon Valley, 70-60, and conference leader Stevenson, 68-50.

Warrior Notes
• The Warriors need a win to reach 15 wins for the first time since 2008-09 and the 12th time in program history.

• Senior Ali Derr needs one more blocked shot to tie Julia Antonelli (2010-14) for ninth in school history with 46.

• Junior Chelsea Henderson is two steals from 50 on the year, where she can join Ziminski as the first Warrior duo to reach the mark in the same season since 1994-95.

• Henderson needs one more rebound to become the fourth Warrior to reach 100 on the season, the first time since 2005-06 that four Warriors have reached the mark.

• Junior Olivia Manges needs three more points to become the 28th player in school history to reach 600 in a career.

• Senior Janelle Ziminski became the second player in school history, along with Rachael Scheller in 2010-11, to post 100 rebounds, 50 steals, 40 assists and 20 3-pointers in a season with her third of four steals against Widener.
